All Asphalt Work Includes:

Proper Site Preparation:
Excavation and removal of existing asphalt when needed.

A Properly Prepared Base
The right base material, installed at the appropriate depth, graded and thoroughly compacted.

Proper Pitch & Grading
The driveway is graded and pitched to help direct runoff and reduce pooling and puddles.

Proper Asphalt Thickness
Asphalt installed to the appropriate thickness for the property and measured after compaction.

How We Build a Driveway

1. Excavation & Removal
For an existing driveway, we remove the old asphalt and haul it away rather than simply covering over problems that may already exist underneath.

2. Base Preparation
Once the old surface is removed, we can evaluate the existing base. Stone is added where needed, then the base is graded and thoroughly compacted to create a solid foundation for the new asphalt.

3. Pitch & Grading
The driveway is carefully graded and pitched to help direct water runoff away from problem areas and reduce pooling and puddles.

4. Asphalt Installation
Asphalt is installed at the appropriate depth for the property and compacted to create a strong, durable finished surface.

Why We Usually Don’t Recommend Paving Over an Old Driveway.

Paving directly over an existing driveway may look good at first, but cracks, uneven areas, and movement underneath can eventually show through the new asphalt. Removing the old surface gives us the opportunity to see what’s underneath, correct problems with the base, and properly prepare the driveway before new asphalt is installed.

Not Every Driveway Needs to Start Over

Whether you need to repair a damaged area, widen your driveway, add extra parking space, or improve an existing entrance, we can help determine the best approach for the property.

Pothole & Patch Repair
Damaged areas can be cut out and properly repaired rather than simply covered over.

Driveway Widening & Extensions
Need more room? We can widen or lengthen an existing driveway or create additional parking areas, with proper preparation and base work for the new section.

Aprons, Swales & Entrances
We can repair or improve driveway entrances, aprons, and swales while taking pitch and water runoff into consideration.
